Piercing Aftercare

1.For oral Piercings
-
Rinse with a sea salt solution (¼ tsp non-iodized sea salt + 1 cup distilled water) twice daily.

After eating, smoking, drinking (anything besides water), or oral sex, use a non-alcoholic mouthwash to cleanse your mouth.
-
Continue this regimen for a minimum of 6 weeks to prevent irritation or infection.

Do not change jewelry for 4–6 weeks.

2. Body Piercings

Always wash your hands with antibacterial soap before touching or cleaning the piercing.

Use a cotton ball soaked in warm, soapy water to loosen dried blood or plasma.

Clean the area gently with a Q-tip dipped in warm soapy water, making sure to cleanse all around the piercing releasing dried blood and/or plasma.

Follow with a soak using Hydra Piercing Solution by Urban’s Edge to accelerate healing.

Clean the piercing at least twice daily, especially after showering, as body wash residues may cause irritation.

Maintain this routine for a minimum of 6 weeks to prevent irritation or infection.

Wait 4–6 weeks before changing your jewelry.

3. Micro-Dermals

Note: Microdermals are surface piercings and have a higher risk of rejection.

Clean carefully with a Q-tip and warm soapy water; avoid scrubbing or snagging on towels, loofahs, or clothing.

Soak the area with Hydra Piercing Solution twice daily.

Set the piercing throughout the day by gently pressing down on the jewelry to help the skin conform and avoid rejection.

Before bed, cover the piercing with a bandage (non-stick pad only) to prevent snagging or irritation while sleeping.

Maintain this routine for a minimum of 2 months.

See your piercer for jewelry head changes or removal—do not attempt this yourself.

Dermals/ Surface Piercings are prone to rejection. Following these steps properly will reduce the chance of rejection.
